Condition Manager
Following on from Last year’s initial trial of the system by the Co-operative Group,
Asset Handling has now deployed an additional 22 second generation AH-21 units across the Groups Critical Data centres in Phase 1 of a 41 unit rollout plan.
The live condition monitoring devices are now monitoring the Co-operative’s Datacentres critical assets and
remaining single points of failure within their cooling and power trains.
Each of the devices have been configured with our bespoke escalation plans to alert the engineering teams should any deviation
from their normal operating parameters occur.
Quality Baseline
The assets being monitored in the datacentres have just undergone a major maintenance programme prior to our installation. This will provide the Condition Manager Artificial Intelligence an optimum baseline to self-learn the assets current performance. Over the next 7 days Condition Manager will set the performance baseline which will continue to learn seasonal variances and business performance demands.
Project Timing
The timing of the successful installation was paramount to The Co-Operative Group; We reduced our normal 12 week lead-time down to 4 weeks from formal order to help The Co-Operative mitigate their risks during the current transition of Datacentre infrastructure between facilities. This is a highly critical time for The Co-Operative to ensure that their facilities maintain critical business functionality during the transition into new tier 3 facilities. The flexibility of the wireless Condition Manager design will enable The Co-Operative to re-deploy the AH-21’s to other vunerable assets following their transition from their older facilities on completion of the transfer to new facilities.
